Toyota Auris: Prost in the frost

Alain Prost has kept his lead in the Trophée Andros ice-racing series with a pair of strong results in the second round of the championship in Andorra.

The little French fella with the curly mop didn't win at the weekend, but a third and a second in his four-wheel-drive, four-wheel-steer Toyota Auris was enough to retain top spot in the standings.

Sports car ace and former Ligier F1 racer Franck Lagorce in a Fiat Stilo is turning out to be Prost's main rival for the ice-racing crown.

Monaco GP winner Olivier Panis is also showing some pace in the other mid-engined V6 Toyota Auris.

Expect your local Toyota dealer to call the men in white coats if you go in asking for a test drive in a 4WD, 4WS V6 Auris. A road version doesn't exist.

Still, it would be nice if it did, eh Toyota?
