Mazda's Christmas Carol Aims Small
HIROSHIMA, Japan — Mazda has announced it has face-lifted its Japan-market Carol micromini, and the new model will go on sale today.
The Carol, which Mazda describes as popular with female buyers "due to its charming design and practicality," gets a new front end with separated headlights, improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. Other notable changes include changed seats and door trim — with "tea colored" fabric.
The revised Carol has also qualified for Green Tax reductions because it is now certified as a SU-LEV vehicle under Japanese standards and gets 10-20-percent better fuel economy than the 2010 standard requires.
Mazda targets sales of 800 per month for the little Carol.
