Aston Martin Goes Artsy in Motown
DETROIT — Drawing on a dramatic "fire and ice" theme, Aston Martin will turn its stand at the upcoming North American International Auto Show into an art gallery with images of two Vantage roadsters.
Automotive photographer Rene Staud used the landscape in Iceland, with its black volcanic sand, as the backdrop for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. "We wanted to give visitors to the NAIAS an uninhibited vision of the stand and the opportunity to see the car for what it is — a beautiful piece of art," said Dr. Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin chairman and CEO.
Staud also created an Aston Martin calendar with images from the "Fire and Ice" shoot. It is on sale for $90 at Renestaud.com.
