1062 36 Dodge Hot Rod As spotlighted in “Old Skool Rods” magazine March 2007 you now have the chance to own Ray Evernham’s “One-Of-A-Kind ’36 Dodge. The inspiration for this hot rod came from a movie, memories of the ‘60’, a passion for hot rods and a love of MOPAR. Two of his employees who own a hot rod business built this vehicle after hours of brain storming with Ray and nailing the vision down. Think back to American Graffiti the scene where the guy pulled up to a traffic light and everyone turned their heads while he drove away.

The cab is from a ’35 Dodge and the only thing that was bought for the build. Everything else was hand built or fabricated. The top was chopped two inches and channeled 6 for the feel of the 60’s that Ray was after. The exterior is black and features coker www on steel rims. The engine has a 1952 331 Hemi that was bored .030 over and built locally in Mooresville with a three speed Ford transmission. The rear is a 9 inch with a NASCAR 3.50 gear. Add the ‘94S Holley carbs a Log Manifold and lake style headers with stainless steel exhaust the horse power believed to be about the same as a NASCAR Busch Series pumps out. After 2,576 hours of work the hot rod was finished.
