Mercedes Creates Classic Car Boutique and Service Center in California
The Mercedes-Benz Classic Center will open its doors here in February, offering retail sales, restoration, appraisal, and vehicle-search assistance for Mercedes-Benz models 20 years and older.
Vehicles will start at around $25,000 and reach "upwards into the millions," Mercedes-Benz officials said. The facility's service department will work on all vehicles classified by the company as "classic," up to and including the 107 SL series (450/380/560) models built from 1972-'89. The center has access to 40,000 different automotive parts for every regular production Mercedes-Benz from 1945 through the 107-series SL models.
Mercedes-Benz said ownership of a classic vehicle is not required to visit the new classic center, which also includes an automotive boutique. Information and parts purchasing assistance is available via its toll-free number at 866-MBCLASSIC.
