Lincoln MKS, Ford Fairlane will start production in early 2008
At least that's what suppliers close to the projects are saying. Automotive News quotes supplier sources in a recent article who confirm that Lincoln will build a production sedan based on the MKS concept starting in February of 2008 in Chicago.
The story also notes that an additional low volume Lincoln sedan will be built on the same assembly line starting in late 2008 or early 2009. Supplier sources also confirmed that Ford's Oakville, Ontario plant in Canada will begin building a production version of the Ford Fairlane concept in early 2008. Lincoln will also get a version of the vehicle and both models will be offered with hybrid drivetrains.
