Smart Builds a Sandy Preview of Coming Minicar

As part of a sponsorship of a German volleyball championship, DaimlerChrysler sculpted a special sand model to preview the next Smart Fortwo.

Pavel Zasanyok, a three-time sand sculpture world champion from Russia, created the unique monument. A look at it reveals that the next Fortwo will be evolutionary, rather than revolutionary.

The second-generation Smart Fortwo will be presented at the 2006 Paris Motor Show and launched in early 2007. The new little car will be distributed in the United States by Roger Penske.
