VW Rolls Out Value-Oriented Wolfsburg Edition Passat
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Volkswagen of American said on Tuesday that a Wolfsburg Edition Passat is now available at U.S. dealerships, priced at $27,630, including a $640 destination charge.
The automaker said the latest version of the Passat "continues the tradition of offering value-priced special editions." It noted that "this special-edition Passat offers greater value" when compared to a similarly equipped non-Wolfsburg Edition Passat.
Details of the Wolfsburg Edition include a 200-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine linked to a six-speed automatic Tiptronic transmission. The vehicle gets 17-inch alloy wheels, a four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped gearshift knob and boot, 12-way power driver seat, six-disc in-dash CD with MP3 capability, heated front seats, power sunroof, foglights, heated windshield washer nozzles and Sirius Satellite Radio. It also gets "Wolfsburg Edition" badging on the driver and passenger front quarter panels.
