Cadillac Confirms Debut of '08 CTS
Cadillac put to rest the rumors about when the 2008 CTS will make its entrance; the company has announced that the redesigned entry-level sedan will make its world debut in January at the North American International Auto Show here.
The automaker said the '08 CTS is scheduled to hit U.S. showrooms in late summer 2007, with worldwide exports to follow in the fall. No details about the upcoming CTS were revealed in the statement.
"Cadillac has engineered an historic renaissance, with a completely new product portfolio, driven in large part by the original CTS," said Jim Taylor, Cadillac general manager. "Success can drive conservatism, but not for Cadillac. The next chapter, beginning in January, promises to be even more dramatic."
The CTS continues to chug along, with sales of more than 61,000 units in the U.S. in 2005, compared to about 38,000 in 2002.
