The BMW X3 Limited Sport Edition has been launched today on a few European markets, including Germany and Italy. The BMW X3 Limited Sport Edition comes with an M sport package which includes 19" alloy rims, M steering wheel, Alcantara sport seats and xenon headlights with adaptive lighting technology. The BMW X3 Limited Sport Edition also features an M Aerodynamics package, sports suspension, Servotronic, rain sensor and an M shifter.
The BMW X3 Limited Sport Edition is scheduled to go into showrooms next month and will be available with all the engines in the X3 line-up. The BMW X3 Limited Sport Edition price varies depending on the engine choices.

The current BMW X3 will soldier on for at least the next few years until the arrival of an all-new model towards the end of the decade. Nonetheless, these are the very first spy-shots of Munich’s compact SUV, snapped undergoing road tests outside the Nürburgring.
The new X3’s dimensions will hardly change compared with the current car and its styling will be shaped to reflect elements from the CS Concept. The basic shape will remain much the same, however the new model is expected to feature a more prominent grille plus new wraparound headlights.
Designers will also focus on improving the quality of the interior, as the new X3 will be facing stiff competition from the recently unveiled new Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLK.
Production of the X3 will be moved to BMW’s Spartanburg plant in the U.S. where it will be built alongside the new X6 and X5. Expect to see the twin-turbo 3.0-litre from the 335i make its way into the X3 range as well as the powerful but frugal new 152kw 2.0-litre turbodiesel.

This BMW X3 TV commercial gave us a good laugh today with its overly sarcastic humor. It depicts a guy driving an American SUV (it looks like a GM model) who suddenly hits the brakes only to see the body of his vehicle flying away thus uncovering the truck hidden beneath it. Now if only we had to show you a countermeasure ad featuring the BMW X3 attempting to go off-road.

The reason a racy all-wheel-drive vehicle is now fully suitable for hunting on even the most challenging terrain situations, lies not only in the fact that hes able to fall back on a wealth of gathered rallye sport experience: Herbert is truly an avid and passionate hunter.
The modified X3 renders his passion. As HUNTER it embodies a fine sleek manner of moving expertly and stylishly over rough and smooth. The necessary ground clearance of 23 cm is provided by longer spring/damper units, additional front spacer blocks and very good all-terrain-pneus (255/55 R 18) which are mounted on HARTGEs CLASSIC 2 light alloy wheels.
The full range of HARTGE performance enhancements naturally extend to the version for the bhp-spoiled hunters society. In the 3.0sd 335hp/246 kW (factory 283 hp/210 kW) blow the mort through the hunting horn. The power-plus is gained through tuning of the electronic control unit (ECU): within technical territories tuner HARTGE is already a famous hunting authority.
Automatic differential locks on both axles ease the HUNTERs ability to stalk through difficult terrain. Stainless steel grating protects and guards the radiator from damage due to thick underbrush or rocks.
Again, this X3 clearly demonstrates its supremacy on off-road terrain. HARTGEs HUNTER enriches the hunting scene as an off-road vehicle, which in contrast to the British Landy or German G-Class cuts a fine figure onroad as well with speeds up to 210 km/h (dependent upon tyre manufacturer).

BMW is planning to increase production capacity to more than 200,000 vehicles a year at its manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina. As part of that plan, the automaker will build the forthcoming all-new X6 and the next-generation X3 at the U.S. plant. The current X3 is built in Austria in a Magna Steyr plant.
The facility currently has a capacity of 140,000 and builds Z4 and X5 vehicles. Production on both models will increase, the company said. BMW Chief Executive Norbert Reithofer called this a way of cutting currency exchange risk at a time when the euro is surging in value and the dollar is weakening.
