Volkswagen Golf Plus BiFuel
The Volkswagen Golf Plus BiFuel has been unveiled today at the 2009 AMI in Leipzig. The Volkswagen Golf Plus BiFuel is factory equipped to operate with Autogas or LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and can be easily switched to run on gasoline. We run on LPG, the Volkswagen Golf Plus BiFuel offers a 10 percent reduction in CO2 emissions.
One of the major advantages of having a factory equipped LPG vehicle is that, as the Volkswagen Golf Plus BiFuel is, the car has been crash tested with all its fuel tanks. The engine of the Volkswagen Golf Plus BiFuel has been adapted to work on LPG and has a longer life than gasoline-only developed engines that run on LPG.
In LPG model, the four-cylinder Volkswagen Golf Plus BiFuel outputs 72 kW / 98 PS, consumes 9.8 liters of LPG per 100 kilometers and has a 159 g/km CO2 emissions level.
