Brabus GLK Widestar at SEMA
The Brabus GLK Widestar SUV was conceived by the group’s development engineers and is an interpretation of the GLK as an on-road machine with corner-hugging agility that also pays tribute to the high levels of refinement synonymous with the Mercedes-Benz marque. With its wider body, integrated flared wheel arches and distinctive air intake fins, the Widestar also features customised front and rear bumpers, LED daytime running lights, side skirts, a roof spoiler with LED position lights and all-new LED lighting units above the front windshield.
The flared wheel arches are home to 21-inch wheels which are complimented by a 30mm decrease in ride height and a high-performance brake system. Powered by a reworked V6 diesel engine (based on the 320 BlueTEC unit) the Widestar generates 190kW of power and delivers 610Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h is over in 6.9 seconds with a claimed top speed of 240 km/h.
Despite the increase in performance, the Widestar remains well within the most stringent emissions standards (Euro 5) and even manages remarkable fuel economy averaging 8.4 litres per 100 km. The completely reworked interior is clad with a total of 50 square metres of soft, semi-aniline leather which is finished in ‘cognac’ colouring.
To avoid glare in the windshield and side windows, the upper surfaces of the dashboard and door panels are finished in black leather. The alcantara upholstery of the roof lining is also finished in black, with piano black wood trim, a sports steering wheel and aluminium sports pedals completing the overall impact of the interior.

Brabus C63 AMG
Got a Mercedes-Benz C63? Wanna go faster? Look no further than the German tuning house BRABUS’s B63 S performance kit. Complete with high flow catalytic converters, a less restrictive air intake and a remapped ECU, the company has managed to rummage up 73 horses from the stock 6.2-liter V8. Not too bad for bolt on modifications, if you ask us. The guys at BRABUS aren’t all about go, either.
They’ve paid equal attention the car’s suspension and brakes, dropping huge 12 piston calipers up front to squeeze the sizeable 15-inch discs. Nothing beats displacement except even more displacement: A crankshaft with longer stroke, larger cylinder bore, and special pistons and piston rods increase displacement of the twelve-cylinder three-valve engine from 5.5 to 6.3 liters (336 to 385 cu. in.). Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a reinforced five-speed automatic transmission and a BRABUS limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent. The sporty BRABUS outfit for the SLR Roadster is dominated by BRABUS Monoblock VI 20-inch wheels that fill the wheel houses perfectly. The fully polished multi-piece wheels feature six double spokes and are mounted on the sports car in size 9.5Jx20 in front and size 11.5Jx20 on the rear axle. High-performance tires in sizes 255/30 ZR 20 and 305/25 ZR 20 are supplied by BRABUS technology partners Pirelli and YOKOMAMA. This low-profile tire/wheel combination is custom-tailored for the SLR coupe and roadster and benefits not only the car’s appearance but also its handling.

2007 Brabus B63 S for Mercedes-Benz 63 AMG Models
Even more power for all Mercedes 63 AMG models: BRABUS ( http://www.brabus.com/ ) presents its B63 S engine tuning, which boosts power output of the high-revving 6.2-liter V8 to 550 hp / 404 kW and peak torque to 650 Nm. With a sprint time from rest to 100 km/h of just 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h a CLS 63 AMG with B63 S tuning turns in performance worthy of a true super sports car.
The BRABUS power kit comprises newly programmed engine electronics with special mapping for injection and ignition. But that’s not all: The intake side features a sport air filter for improved supply of combustion air. The exhaust side features high-performance metal catalysts with low back pressure that also ensure that the tuned V8 engine meets stringent EURO IV emission limits.
In order to transfer the increased power to the road with minimum slip BRABUS recommends the BRABUS locking differential for all Mercedes 63 models with rear wheel drive. The diff lock has a locking rate of up to 40 percent.

To further improve the already excellent handling characteristics BRABUS has developed a control module for the ABC suspensions that lowers the ride height by some 20 millimeters. It is available for all Mercedes 63 AMG models, upon customer request even in a special version with ceramic discs. At the heart of this exclusive automobile is the BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine. It is based on the turbocharged Mercedes 600 twelve-cylinder engine and represents the most powerful street-legal V12 engine in the world. Installing a special BRABUS crankshaft with longer stroke, combined with a bigger bore and correspondingly sized forged pistons, increases displacement from 5.5 to 6.3 liters. Further engine modifications also include precision-machining the cylinder heads and fitting them with four special camshafts.
In addition the engine peripherals are also modified extensively. The modifications include special exhaust manifolds, two larger turbochargers, a high-efficiency intercooler and a high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts and low back pressure. Extensive bench tests determined the new programming for the engine electronics that not only maximizes power yield but also ensures that the engine meets stringent Euro IV emission limits.
